SKAP Does The Vegas

Who is SKAP?

SKAP is the duo of singer/songwriter Stephanie K and web designer Adam Polselli, best friends since high school. SKAP is most often used to refer to Stephanie and Adam, but it can also be used as an adjective to describe something that is incredibly fun or crazy. For example, “We’re about to have the skappiest vacation ever.”

What’s with the pictures?

At some point in their long history, SKAP became aware of their mutual love for Las Vegas. Since their first joint trip to Sin City, which took place in May 2007, they were hooked. The rest is history.

Why “the” Vegas?

On a particularly hysterical journey to Las Vegas, a certain plane steward had a difficult time pronouncing the name “Las Vegas.” You see, whenever he said “Las Vegas”—as in, “We will be landing in Las Vegas in 15 minutes”—it sounded like “The Vegas.” SKAP found this to be quite hilarious and has adopted the terminology ever since. To this day, you’ll rarely hear them utter the name “Las Vegas.”
